Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms and Conditions set forth the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of Favement Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) and the personal location information subject (hereinafter referred to as the “User”) regarding the Company’s provision of location-based services (“Services”), as well as other necessary matters.
Article 2 (Governing Rules)
Matters not stipulated in these Terms shall be governed by the Act on the Protection and Use of Location Information, the Personal Information Protection Act, the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, the Framework Act on Telecommunications, the Telecommunications Business Act, and other relevant laws, as well as the Company’s Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and any other guidelines separately established by the Company.
Article 3 (Service Details and Fees)
- The Company provides the following location-based services using location information obtained from a location information business operator:
- GeoTagging Service: The location information of the User or a movable device is stored together with posts or other user-generated content. The stored location data may either be kept without additional use or utilized to categorize or search content based on specific locations.
- Search Results and Content Using Location Information: When a User requests an information search or provides location data, the Company provides search results, nearby recommendations (such as restaurants, local businesses, or transportation), and translation results utilizing the location information.
- Advertising Information Based on User Location: During searches or service usage, the Company may display advertisements using the User’s or device’s location information.
- User Protection and Prevention of Misuse: The Company uses location information to detect and block abnormal or unauthorized attempts to use the service.
- Navigation and Convenience Services: The Company provides optimized route maps and information on nearby facilities, traffic conditions, weather, emergency services, and automatic address input, among other convenience services.
- The location-based services described in Paragraph 1 are provided free of charge.
Article 4 (Rights of the Personal Location Information Subject)
- The User may withhold consent to part of the Company’s use of personal location information, including the scope of collection, purpose of use, or third-party provision.
- The User may withdraw all or part of their consent to the collection, use, or provision of personal location information at any time.
- The User may request temporary suspension of the collection, use, or provision of their location information. The Company shall not refuse such a request and shall maintain the necessary technical means to ensure this right.
- The User may request the Company to disclose or provide the following information and request correction of any errors. The Company shall not refuse such requests without justifiable reason:
- Records verifying the collection, use, or provision of the User’s location information.
- The reason and details of any third-party provision of the User’s location information pursuant to relevant laws.
- Upon withdrawal of consent, the Company shall promptly destroy the collected personal location information and verification records. If consent is withdrawn partially, only the corresponding portion shall be deleted.
- The User may exercise the above rights by contacting the Company through the contact information specified in Article 13.
Article 5 (Rights of Legal Guardians)
- When collecting, using, or providing location information of a child under the age of 14, the Company shall obtain consent from both the child and their legal guardian.
